A very large piece from Reel Mine, NC, featuring a cluster of lustrous, highly-translucent to transparent, purple-tipped Amethyst crystals centered on a matrix covered with lustrous, colorless miniature and microcrystalline Quartz crystals. A very beautiful and impressive piece with great color, luster and symmetry. One might be inclined to trim this piece, but I really like it exactly how it is – it really draws attention to the Amethyst cluster. No damage.
