Apophyllite on Stilbite
A stunning specimen of lustrous, radiating clusters of transparent green Apophyllite crystals on a plate of contrasting Stilbite crystals. These unusual Apophyllite crystals have flat terminations and the radiating, round-like clusters are incredibly aesthetic. They are also the reason for the nickname, “disco ball” Apophyllite. I met the gentlemen who mined these specimens found while digging a well and was able to spend considerable time listening to his stories – that was a delight. This is a beautiful piece and would be a highlight of any collection.
