A very unique and unusual piece that features a large, thin crust of highly translucent, gemmy, slightly-pink crystalline Apophyllite hosting numerous white to colorless Stilbite crystals. Where the crystalline Apophyllite crust wraps upward, creating a bowl-like shape, the Apophyllite transitions to a deep-pink color. The luster, that is, the sparkle of this piece is quite amazing! I have only seen a few of these specimens in all my travels, and I grab them whenever I can. The luster, contrast, color, balance and uniqueness is outstanding – a superb specimen in excellent condition.
