This is a huge, stunning specimen of etched Aquamarine on Albite with Muscovite. The Aqua is essentially colorless, transparent, gemmy and perfect. (Incidentally, Aquamarine in its purest form is colorless, although it is frequently tinted by impurities.) But the natural hydrothermal etching makes the crystal “pop” like none I’ve ever seen before, seemingly giving it the appearance of ice! This is just an incredible piece that will be a highlight of any collection.
