This piece has one large, amber colored, translucent, complex Calcite crystal with a soft, waxy luster (due to the striations noticeable on the closeup pic) situated on a bed of smaller like-colored Calcite crystals. I have rarely seen a Calcite crystal this flawless and large – it is a beautiful, aesthetic and balanced piece in excellent condition.
