mindat.org said it best when describing Angel Wing Calcite: “A variety of Calcite determined by the crystal shape and color, i.e., large, very thin, tabular white crystals, purportedly resembling angel’s wings.” There ya go. But, Angel Wing Calcite is not only white, but many shades of yellow as well – as is this piece. It is a large piece with a soft yellow color and pearly luster that shows quite nicely.
