This is an exceptionally large and superb piece that features a Calcite stalactite completely covered with a later generation of large, gemmy, sharp and lustrous scalenohedral Calcite crystals. I have scoured this piece up and down and I cannot even find one minute ding – ALL of the crystals are pristine, which is astounding given the challenges of specimen extraction. And when I say the crystals are sharp, it is both figurative and literal – I have had a couple of minor cuts examining this piece – the crystals are that perfectly terminated. This is an amazing piece that will show incredibly well – excellent luster, balance, and crystal formation – no damage.
