Calcite on Limestone
A cluster of sharp Calcite scalenohedra on a Limestone matrix. The crystals are highly translucent to transparent with an incredible glassy luster. The main crystal has a very, very minor cleave at the tip that is only noticeable upon closer inspection (and even then it might be missed), yet reflected in the price. The forward large crystal is perfect, transparent, and shows a slight amber zone at the tip – really awesome piece. An affordable specimen from the famous Elmwood mine.
