Calcite with Chalcopyrite
An exceptionally large specimen featuring translucent, white tabular hexagonal Calcite crystals in clusters of vertically layered crystals in parallel orientation – often referred to as “poker chip Calcite” or “bladed Calcite.” But what really sets this piece apart is the lustrous, iridescent Chalcopyrite found coating many of the poker chip Calcite clusters and in-between. The contrast is spectacular – a beautiful and aesthetic specimen in excellent condition.
