What started out as a large, highly translucent yellow Calcite crystal eventually became overgrown on the sides and back with doubly-terminated transparent colorless Apophyllite crystals. The end result is a gemmy, highly vitreous, contrasting and highly aesthetic specimen of Calcite with Apophyllite. I’ve only seen one piece similar to this over the years and it was quite smaller. This is a beautiful piece in excellent condition.
