A stunning specimen of Chalcotrichite (a variety of Cuprite). The Chalcotrichite crystals on this piece are a lustrous and brilliant maroon color, partially coating the matrix in aggregates of fibrous, “hair-like” crystals. By simply lightly blowing on the piece you can see the fibrous crystals move. Great contrast, great coverage, and superb color. This is a rare and amazing specimen in excellent condition.
