A large, very aesthetic and beautiful piece of agatized coral, formed when the original fossilized coral was pseudomorphed (completely replaced) by Chalcedony/Agate. Chalcedony, in this rounded, banded form, is referred to as Agate. The original piece was sawn in half and the edges polished, displaying the light-brown/golden banded Agate lining and the golden botryoidal interior. This piece is from Tampa Bay, Fl and happens to be the Florida state stone. A unique and exceptional piece in excellent condition. Comes with a custom stand.
