The vast majority of the Crocoite I see from Tasmania are on a dark brown Limonite Gossan matrix. So when I saw this piece, I was particularly drawn to the contrast of of the white (grey-white) Gibbsite with the needle-like, red-orange Crocoite crystals, all on the brown Limonite Gossan. A really unique and aesthetic piece that stands out in a crowd – beautiful contrast, color and balance. In excellent condition.
