This is a huge specimen of lustrous, highly translucent purple cubic Fluorite. The crystals exhibit spectacular stair-stepped growth patterns that are commensurate with the overall size of the piece. There are a few minor nicks that are pretty insignificant on a piece this size – if this piece were perfect it would be literally ten times the price, so a great piece for an even greater price.
