This is a stunning piece featuring an intense deep purple stepped Fluorite crystal perfectly set on a matrix of microcrystalline Quartz from the famous Zogno mine (known locally as Camissinone mine), Bergamo, Italy. Upon closer inspection you’ll see multiple miniature Fluorite crystals scattered throughout the Quartz (see closeup pic). Everything about this piece is incredible – the contrast, the luster, the color, and as I mentioned on the home page, the “wow” factor. An amazing show piece with no damage. (The Zogno mine has now been closed for several years, thus quality pieces are becoming harder to find.)
