Gypsum var. Selenite
An especially large specimen of lustrous, transparent to translucent, colorless Selenite on matrix. The two large crystals are aggregates exhibiting parallel crystal growth, and the the lower large crystal is twinned (“fishtail”). In addition to the two focal crystals are numerous smaller crystals throughout the matrix. There are a few minor contacts that do not distract, yet for a piece this large and populated it is in unusually good condition. A wonderful matrix piece for Selenite.
