An aesthetic specimen of lustrous, highly translucent, orange-brown Heulandite crystals on a layer of matte, soft-white Mordenite over a dark-brown matrix. Heulandite crystals are usually tabular – similar to the shape of an old-fashioned coffin – and in the case of the Heulandite on this specimen, often form in foliated (layered) clusters. This piece has excellent contrast in luster and color, balance, and crystal formation. A beautiful representative specimen of Heulandite crystals in excellent condition.
