An exceptionally large, hemispherical specimen of rich-pink Manganoan Calcite, exhibiting an inter-grown, fan-shaped, radiating crystal habit on a massive scale, and I mean massive. I haven’t seen a piece this large or well formed before. There are miniature crystals covering the entire front surface of the hemisphere creating a beautiful, sparkly luster. On the back of the piece where it was removed from the pocket wall you can see the radial growth/fan-shaped habit and crystal termination in the cross-section. Even more amazing is the addition of a matrix perfectly centered and visible on the bottom. This is truly a stunning piece and a highlight in any collection. In excellent condition.
