Molybdenite in Quartz with Muscovite
A unique specimen featuring a metallic-gray Molybdenite crystal with mirror-like luster on a matrix of translucent Quartz with Muscovite. The Molybdenite crystal shows hexagonal form and has perfect cleavage in one direction similar to Mica. There is also a second, smaller, less distinctive crystal on the matrix. The contrast is so striking that it almost appears unnatural – but be assured, it’s completely natural. A great piece in excellent condition.
