Planerite, a Turquoise Group mineral, is a rare mineral occurrence. Most specimens that I have seen have been rather unimpressive. This particular specimen, however, hosts a coating of beautiful, lustrous blue-green Planerite microcrystals with numerous small spheres on a black, contrasting matrix. One of the nicest specimens, especially the color, contrast and coverage, that I’ve seen. A great piece in excellent condition.
