This is a fascinating piece – it features swirls of Rhodochrosite seemingly wrapped around miniature globular aggregates of sphalerite, all on a matrix of quartz. Many of the Rhodo crystal aggregates have an almost rosette-like formation. I had a little trouble capturing the pink color of the Rhodo accurately, so in this case, yes – it’s even better in person. Great, showy piece in excellent condition.
