A eye-catching parallel pair of pristine water-clear Quartz crystals with Clay inclusions. These Clay inclusions give the Quartz a smokey hue due to the Clay reflecting off the Quartz faces. In addition, with Clay inclusions there is also a tendency for skeletal formations, often on the crystal faces, but on this specimen, on the back/top you will see a large skeletal cavity likely due to Quartz growth around a Clay deposit and later dissolution of the Clay, leaving a cavity behind. Areas of Namibia are known for these types of inclusions due to past volcanic activity. This piece is pristine and gemmy – a beautiful piece!
