Selenite

$25.00

A cabinet-sized specimen of Selenite, a variety of Gypsum, on matrix. The Selenite is twinned (though more prominent on the right side than the left), creating the image of a “fish-tail,” thus the “Fish-Tail” Selenite. The Selenite has a pearly, almost frosted luster and the crystals are all in very good condition, although some of the terminations show some water erosion, likely from its time in a flooded pocket. Overall, a very nice reference specimen for an even nicer price.
